Let's Get Motivated?

Of course we all need some motivation, once in a while. I am here with a friendly reminder. SUMMER IS COMING! It will come regardless of our preparation. But preparation will help it roll in more gently. for some moms, summer is exciting. No schedule and lots of time to be together. If that's your view, you don't need to continue reading this post. I'm here for the rest of the moms out there. It takes time to adjust to the summer ebb and flow once it starts. A little planning might help it to go a bit smoother especially during those first days.

Have you registered your children for swimming lessons, VBS, camp and anything else that is on the "must do" list? If not, there's no better time than the present! Those activities fill up.

Do you have a policy about the neighbors playing with your children? If not, you might want to draft a plan and communicate it to your family and the neighbors. When can your children play? If you don't decide now, you may never have a real dinner time together. Do you allow your children in others house? Do you let the neighbors play in your house? Can they play in your yard if you aren't home? Do you want others to be on your trampoline if you're not around?

Do you need to have a mother's helper during a portion of the summer? Those good twelve year olds will be helping someone else if you don't ask early.

It's important to make the vacation plans now before life becomes complicated and you have to do it at 2 a.m.

I'm here today to remind you to get these things done and think through what you will need for summer. A little advance planning may make a huge difference for you to enjoy it a whole lot more.
