is almost unbelievable! When I believed,
I was marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. I have had my sins forgiven and become a
forever member of God’s family and now this?
Ok,
what should I take away from this?
Let’s explore a seal.
Very few things in our country have a seal. A seal is a visual that is put on an item to
show it is connected to an important person or office. It shows the authenticity of the item. My daughter wrote the President of the United
States after he was re-elected. She
congratulated him and told him that she would be praying for him as President. Several weeks later she received a letter
from the White House with the official seal of the President of the United
States. The seal showed that this was an
authentic letter from the highest position in our land.
The seal God gives each believer is far greater than a
special imprint on a document from a governing official. This seal is the
promised Holy Spirit. He came after
Jesus left the earth. WE HAVE THE THIRD
PERSON OF THE TRINITY AS OUR SEAL! God had given each of us so much and here we
see he gives even more, the Holy Spirit. Amazing!
