This is a unique Monday. There’s no school and no holiday preparations unless you are planning to host a New Year’s Eve party. There are few Monday’s like this during the school year. What will you do? Enjoy! That will look different for everyone but enjoy the freedom of today.
It could be going to a movie, or watching one at home. It could be shopping or cleaning up your home and feeling like there is a little order, once again. It could be getting a babysitter and having a date with your spouse. There is always a day of Monopoly or Settlers of Catan. Take a day to enjoy the gifts God has given. It may be time, relationships or those Christmas gift cards that enable you to shop and not feel it in your wallet.
What ever you do, enjoy and thank God for the opportunity to have a special Monday. A Monday, that you rarely get. You may think,” I could do all these things.” Don’t fall into that guilt of not being productive. Just be productive in a different way. Be productive by slowing down and enjoying the gifts that God has bestowed on you.
