As I have learned over and over again, God brings people into our lives to help us in the parenting process. As I thought about each of my children and the influence this wonderful woman has had, I was brought to tears. God uses the Body of Christ in amazing ways. As a parent, I have learned I can't do this job as a mom by myself. I need God's help each day. I also need the people that God sends to assist me.
As I remember the influence this counselor has had, it is overwhelming. She served as a coach for both of my daughters. I remember one of my daughters telling me, "Coach prays about everything. She told us that God gave her some ideas as she prayed about the volleyball defense during her devotions." As a mom, I wanted my children to see God at work in people's heart. This is one of many examples of how my children were blessed by their relationship with this wonderful woman.
I can't do everything and be everything to my children. I am so thankful for the people God brings into our family's life. It has made such a difference. God has been good to us!
