I love toys! I loved playing with toys and games as a child and as a parent. I continue to love playing as a therapist for child with autism and/or a history of trauma. Just like anyone, i don't want to waste my money on toys that children discard or refuse to use.
As a parent of a child diagnosed on the autism spectrum, I also needed toys that were also tools to learn new skills. I thought I would share some of the websites I turn to for ideas about toys for children who have learning differences, I hope this list will help you as much as it has aided me before spending my hard earned cash.
