Satisfaction with our lives is a secret that few have learned. With Thanksgiving coming tomorrow, let's consider what makes me or you a satisfied and thankful person. I think we've seen a lot of the secrets to it in this chapter. There is a time and a season in my life and others for everything.
God makes everything beautiful in His time. Recognizing That God is good and his ways are perfect, create a calm in life for the person who is prepared to receive what comes from the hand of God. Striving to do it without God or instead of depending on the Lord creates tremendous anxiety. God has things planned for a reason but as long as a person is fighting against his plan.....real happiness will not occur. Trying to control the circumstances of life never brings peace and contentment.
God desires for each person to do good. There are a multitude of ways to do good but the bottom line is: it needs to be done. This verse says there is NOTHING BETTER than to be happy and do good in this life. This life doesn't last forever, so take advantage of the time God has given you to do good. This is a way that each individual can fulfill what God has created him/her to accomplish while living here.
It's Thanksgiving and then comes Christmas. There is no greater time than now to do good for others. There are so many opportunities that are around during this season. Take advantage to fulfill your calling and in the spirit of thanksgiving for what you have received from the Lord Jesus!
