Our family had a laid back
culture that was highly social and very spontaneous. After our son was diagnosed with an Autism
Spectrum disorder, we found that a little more structure was helpful in our
home. We had to make some adjustments
but we did not become a family that had everything scheduled for the month
ahead. We adapted to our son’s needs to
help him grow and develop. We did that
within our own family style and culture.
Even with disability, remember to never mind the
Jones'. Stay true to your own family
culture.
