You are the BEST!

Yes you are! Today, you'll see why!

First, no one loves your child more than you. Even with all the ups and downs, you love your child and are committed to him. You will fight for him to attain his potential.

 

Second, therapists and educators come and go. You, his parent, will be there when the others are gone. Remember, that his IEP team in high school will only have two people who have served on it since the beginning: his mom and dad!!

 

Third, you have come to understand him better than anyone else. You know how he feels when no one plays with him at recess even though he shows no emotion. You know things that embarrass him. You understand why he acts out. You must try to convince his teachers that it 's not just bad behavior.

 

Finally, there are a thousand more reasons you are the best therapist and advocate but the biggest one is because you are relentless in your love, care and work on your child's behalf. You want him to achieve as much as possible and will move mountains, if necessary, to see that happen.

 

One last note, as you advocate, entrust the whole process to God. He is the one who can break done gates of iron on your behalf.
