Toys...Can a Fun Present Help Math

There are so many toys that children can help with math skills. The kids don't even need to know the educational value.

Blocks are the greatest toy. Children learn to count by stacking blocks, They can practice spatial skills that lead to math understanding. "Can you put the 'A' block beside the 'B' block?" Think of all the spatial concepts that can be practiced with blocks.

Shapes and geometry can be practiced with design toys that use shapes.

Puzzles are one of the primary ways to teach math without children even having a clue. Puzzles come in all shapes, sizes and skills.

Thes games teach sequencing, counting up and down, graphing and anything else you can think to use them to teach. So many games use math skills to play them.

I would love to know other games you've purchased for Christmas where there are math skills necessary to play them.
