I don't know the history of this piece of architecture but I'm sure it wasn't designed to lean! Would it be as famous if it was straight? I doubt it. It is unique. Would the care and upkeep of this building be as difficult, costly and time consuming? I am guessing that the answer is a resounding NO! That is the way it is for each of us raising a child with learning differences. These children often look very much like other children but not quite so. They may lean in another direction ever so slightly. No matter what a parent does, the leaning is still there. Our job as a parent is to lean into them and given the structural support to be the unique yet strong person each of them can become. It wouldn't be the same without a little leaning in another direction.
