For
he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in
his sight. Ephesians
1:4
The first spiritual
blessing in this passage was that God chose us to be holy and blameless in his
sight. Wow! Let’s take a little time to consider what is
said here.
1. God was intricately
involved in providing salvation for us.
He also was involved to drawing us into a relationship with Him.
2.God
was planning since before the creation of the world. God is eternal. He has always been. He has been concerned about me long before time
began.
3.He,
through Christ’s death and resurrection, opened the way for our guilt and sin
to be taken away. Our position in Christ
is holy and blameless because that has been secured through Jesus.
What great truths to
consider as we understand that God has positionally, made us holy and blameless in his sight.
